Using Cost-Effective, Sustainable Electronic Tools to Improve a Clinical Audit Program: The Survey Monkey Experience

Led by Samantha Perryman, Staff Development Educator for Clinical Audit, Education Centre, Royal Perth Hospital

PART ONE: 1pm to 2:45pm

Clinical Audit programs are an essential component of monitoring and evaluating standards of patient care. Traditionally, clinical auditing has relied on paper-based, time-consuming manual processes to deliver compliance and performance data to the organisation. This session will discuss taking steps to embed new, efficient, sustainable tools for clinical auditing.

  • The requirement for electronic audit tools: Time, cost and quality
  • How Survey Monkey tools can help an audit program and how we proved it
  • Engaging clinical staff: What is in it for them?
  • Creating time to focus on data driven quality care

PART TWO: 3pm to 5pm
Take a walk through a free Survey Monkey account. Find out what you can do at no cost and the powerful tools that an annual subscription delivers. Participants will be shown the process of taking a paper-based audit to an electronic format. Any participant with a web-enabled device such as a Smartphone, PC tablet or laptop will be able to submit an audit response during the session.

  • 'I need 45 minutes of your time...' Setting up a survey / audit / training needs analysis in Survey Monkey
  • Data entry: Minimise or eliminate? Your choice
  • Collation and analysis from beginner to expert
  • Standardised template sharing
