It gives me great pleasure to invite you to the 3rd Annual Mining the Territory Conference to be held at the Darwin Conference and Exhibition Centre from the 9-11 September 2009.
Last year's Mining the Territory featured a record number of delegates, speakers and exhibitors, and drew strong praise from within the resources industry for the extensive information related to NT mining and investment.
The Northern Territory is one of the most exciting new resource development areas in Australia and continues to become more of an export economy thanks largely to mining success.
Exploration and mining are key economic drivers for the Northern Territory, worth more than 7 billion in 2008/09.
The Territory Government has committed 14.4 million over four years to the Bringing Forward Discovery initiative to encourage companies to take up exploration in the Territorys vast under-explored land.
Mining the Territory represents an excellent opportunity for key industry players in the region to promote their contribution to the industry, and to discuss and debate the challenges faced by the mining sector in a rapidly changing world.
And in a first, Mining the Territory will be co-located with the highly regarded SEAAOC Conference to form NT Resources Week.
NT Resources Week will encompass a larger trade exhibition with one conference pass that will allow delegates to attend either forum, which not only optimizes value for money but also provides a greater range of networking and social events to make this an all encompassing resource industry experience. We look forward to seeing you in Darwin this September!
