9.50AM Update on Gladstone Nickel Project
Gladstone Pacific Nickel Limited is an Australian mining
development company presently undertaking an Integrated
Definitive Feasibility Study (IDFS) for the Gladstone Nickel
Project (GNP). The companys vision is to build a major longlife
nickel cobalt refinery at the deepwater Port of Gladstone,
in Central Queensland, Australia, treating abundant high grade
nickel laterite ores from New Caledonia and other south-west
pacific islands, underpinned by beneficiated ores from its own
Marlborough deposits. The project has the potential to be one
of the largest of its type in the world producing some 126,000
tpa nickel (810% of global nickel demand) and 10,400 tpa
of cobalt metal from its first two stages.
Stage 1: Construction of the US $3.65 billion Marlborough
Nickel and Cobalt Deposit project is expected to take 23 years
and this presentation will provide an update on the project and
the implications related to the GNP merger with RDI.
Mr John Downie, Chief Executive Officer, Gladstone Pacific
Nickel Limited

2.10PM Liquefied Natural Gas Project by Gladstone LNG Pty Ltd at Fishermans Landing.
The Project will have an initial design capacity of 1.5 million tonnes per annum of liquefied natural gas (LNG) with provision for expansion up to 3 million tonnes per annum. Gladstone LNG Pty Ltd (GLNG P/L), a subsidiary of LNG Ltd has an exclusive agreement with coal seam gas producer Arrow Energy Limited for the supply of gas to the proposed plant. The intention is to export the LNG overseas using large LNG Carriers with a capacity of approximately 150,000 cubic metres from the Fishermans Landing Berth No. 5 and it is currently expected that the first shipment will be during 2012. The development phase of the project is progressing well with front end engineering design, (FEED) studies and environmental approvals well advanced.
Maurice Brand, Managing Director LNG Ltd
